This beautifully illustrated book is about the journey of a young mermaid who is willing to give up her life in the name of love. Because of the strong love towards the prince, the little mermaid changes her fishtail for a pair of slender legs. Her efforts are lost on the prince who mistakes her with someone else as his lifesaver. Having lost her chance to return to life in the ocean, she dies and turns into a seafoam.
